If there's ones thing I've noticed around here it's that there's no shortage of opinions and a willingness to share them. Take a look at the knife at the link and give me your thoughts on a brass handled knife. Not about the knife itself (that decision has been made). Go…

Made in the USA. That's good enough for me. Looks and specs are pretty cool too!

Weights weren't listed but kinda I would think it would be. That being the case it would double as an impact weapon in a pinch.

Well, since all your posts have been about this company, this all strikes me as spam. At the very least you have posted a link to a non-advertising knife retailer, which is against BF rules.

That's my opinion. YMMV.

^What he said.

Looks like a cool knife if you can afford it. I'm not crazy about tanto styled blades, but to each his own.

Yup. This knife looks rediculously thick and brass is very heavy.
"Roller chain"
"Permanently lubed pivot bushing washers" What!?
"Nested dual coil springs in the handles"
Too much "high tech awesome" for me

True to form the a** hats have to come out to give an opinion that wasn't requested. My apologies if the post is against forum rules (if the moderators see fit to delete it, so be it) but I'm actually sitting in my living room looking at the knife I received as a birthday gift from my mother-in-law contemplating exchanging it for one of the more conventional colors. Hence, the decision on the knife itself is made as I am limited to an exchange only.

The opinions requested were regarding the brass handle, not assumptive (and erroneous) accusations of pandering on the behalf of a manufacturer. If you have an opinion regarding the aesthetics of the product they are welcome. I ask, as I am truly seeking the opinions of more experienced collectors/users.

I've been buying and using high-end-production knives (around the $1-$200 range) for 3 years now.
I would still say I'm experienced, but not as experienced as some other members here.

Looks? They're ok. A bit overboard but not bad. A 7/10
I still think the handle is rediculously thick.
I'm still questioning the specs. A bit "too good to be true" kind of thing. Unrealistic.
"Permanent lubed pivot" is like those knives that "stay sharp forever".
Don't think I'd buy it.
My apologies if you thought I was being mean.
If you like it, that's what really matters.

If all you want is a validation of your thoughts, just look in a mirror. Don't ask for opinions in a forum because you'll get honest ones.

There you go proving my point again. No "validation of my thoughts" was requested only opinions of a brass handled knife.

Bladebosss, thanks for the feedback. I'm willing to take a chance on the claims of being a wonder knife (admittedly they are pretty tall). Good thing, as I'm committed like the pig was to breakfast and would be limited to an exchange unless I was willing to pay a 20% restocking fee. Just wasn't sure if I liked the appearance of the brass handle as much as I thought I would when I got it in-hand.
