Me being me, I'd get one of the standard models, Delica, Endura, Native, as I don't one one yet.

Past that, I'd look at some of the Salt series (rust proof) and some of the Byrd knives.

With $75, I'd probably get a Salt I or a Pacific Salt.

I was thinking about a delica or endura, that is a hard dicision to make.anyone have both?which one do you like better?

See if you can find a Herbst on ebay for $70 or so. Greatly underappreciated knife. Very sheeple friendly if you happen to work in an office.

Right now NGK has the Adventura on special. Interesting design by a Spyderco forumite. Might be worth looking into.

is there a big difference in edge holding with the zdp-189?the adventura is a really cool knife.definately an option.I am leaning toward the endura though,is the zdp steel really that much better?

Yes, once you get it sharp :), it stays that way considerably longer than VG-10. It stains VERY easily though. It you want it as a user, don't mind a little staining and are able to sharpen a steel with this high carbon content (diamond stones would come in handy for that!), you will get a very fine knife.

I appreciate your mentioning the staining as I live in a hot climate and as such I have experienced staining with spydercos other steels,so I think zdp-189 is probably not a good choice for me,especially as I do not have diamond rods.glad I saw your post before I ordered one.

Regular Delica or Endura would be a great Spyderco to own. If you can find one.....the D-Allara drop point is a nice one as well.

I know that if I had $75 burning a hole in my pocket I would add another $25 and get a Delica G10 full flat grind.
