Opinions wanted, Ka-Bar 6" Hunter...

I was wondering if anyone had any comments about the Ka-Bar 6" fixed blade hunters. They come in two models, either with a wood
(Cocobolo) handle, or with a "Checkered Rynite" handle (although Discount Knives' price list mentions "Zytel"). The blade is 2 5/8", and the knife is 6 1/8" overall (according to the Ka-Bar website).

I was thinking of getting one, just to carry around as a non-threatening utility knife (just to open boxes, cut fruit, tape, rope, whatever). At worst, I'll have only lost 10 bucks or so (I like the black one, and it's cheaper).

Does anyone have one of these, and if so, what is/was your opinion of it?

Thanks in advance,

Phil
