Opinions wanted on 303 scale material.

Thanks Scott.

Imafritz,
Ok, fixed it up a little for EDC. Any other fool with a 1inch belt sander and dremel could do better. This should prevent your icon from getting queasy.

At this point anyone beginning in the knife world, please listen, do not polish up collectable knives. If this one had turned out to be an oddball elk one side, stag the other I would not have touched it. Because it had been metallurgically assaulted by someones attempt to sharpen it on an electrical sharpener, radical methods were required to make it presentable in good company as my EDC. Hence I polished it past the normal factory level to hide the rape.

Unless someone needs to ask question, as far as I'm concerned this thread is at it's end. Thanks all

Whoa thar, big fella!!! :D

Here's my pic from the other thread, showing the young'uns what 2nd cut looks like...

Now...Are the 2nd and 3rd knives 2nd cut as well as the 1st???

What about the 4th???

Ok, I'll play.

1st and 3rd second cut. 2nd sure looks like a first, or is someone's really good art of antler sculpture example. The 4th would be most likely be called second cut, BUT I have seen a number of antlers in natural form and it could be the upper end of an elk or large deer antler where very little "gnarly" effect is present, it has that look.......so I will say 1st cut of a smooth antler area, just because and I will guess elk. 300

I know the 1st one is, because they say so on their box (in pic)...The Sunfish (a Marbles knife) doesn't say on the box, and the big Texas Sesquicentennial says "Genuine Sandbar Handles" [sic] on that box...#1 and #3 are Parkers...#4 is a Buck...

The Sunfish looks like either stain in the pith or it wasn't dried out completely before processing... :barf:
