I did a search here but mostly ones For Sale came up.
This knife has been out several years so there should be several owners on here that can weigh in with their likes/dislikes.
Heres some of my early presumptions...

Likes -
great design/ergos
perfect size for my edc (7-8" overall)

Concerns-
too heavy? steel scale instead of Ti
elmax...is this any good?

I prefer the blackwash finish but welcome any input about the plain stonewash and the CF version.
Thanks!

I've always been happy with Elmax. It seemed to me that it held an edge better after it has been sharpened a couple times. Maybe the edge was over heated during manufacturing.

The 0566 is a great knife. For edc the size is perfect. Throw on some Allen Putman scales and you are set.

I liked mine but got bored with the plain black scales so sold it. At the time I couldn't find any other scales being made for it that I liked. The overall design is good and fit my hand and needs pretty well.

Love mine. Standard model. One tip: When I first got it the flipper was really difficult to open. It lightened up with use and is now perfect. But if your new one seems really hard to open, just use it normally and it will break in. To deal with it at first, put some thumb pressure on the blade-stop stud while pressing the flipper.

Only 2 minor downsides to the 566. It is kinda heavy for the size (but not absurdly so), a little under 6oz, equal to the RAT 1 CF. It is also a bit on the weaker side for flipping as a manual, but I got mine replaced by ZT and it came with a very nice stiff detent with a little adjusting of the lock bar. The blade is a very nice slicer grind, and fits the slim EDC niche that ZT hasn't had for a long time. Just now do they have the 450 and 808 that fit the same category.

One of ZT's best as far as a practical, every day carry option.

Feels great in the hand and the blade stock is just right.

I had one for awhile, and liked it. Flipped fine, and felt good in the hand. I thought the one scale framelock style would be uncomfortable, but that was not at all the case. But it was a bit heavy for me for EDC carry. Fine in jeans, but a bit much for Dockers, and for lighter office/business casual forget it. Certainly sturdy enough for any EDC tasks. Good choice if your everyday dress is jeans or similarly sturdy pants of some sort and the just-over 3" blade isn't a problem in your jurisdiction.

The ZT0566 arrived today. Overall I really like it. perfect size and ergos. its heavy but not a problem. The flipper is stiff as some people mentioned but it's already gotten a little easier doing it many times. My version isnt as blackwashed or tumbed as some Ive seen. I wish it was done more. its kinda too black and smooth. Also the G10 is the super small stipple which is really slippery. kind of defeats the purpose of G10. I can replace that scale.
looking forward to using it.

I sent you an email.

When I got my 566, I was initially really put off by the stiff flipping actual, but by also applying pressure to the stud as jc57 described, it opens smoothly. Once I tried that, it took over as the most frequently carried knife in my EDC rotation.
