I would like some help deciding what direction I should go with my knife making. So here is what I am doing; I put a contest on my website all anyone has to do is post witch knife on my site is their favorite and an email address so I can contact them if they win. The winner gets a free knife, made by me of course. The knife will be made based on the winners vote. The winner will be picked via random number drawing.

You can only vote once. The drawing will be held on the first week of 2009.

The idea is I get ideas and opinions on what I am doing that people like. What you get is the chance to get a free knife.

Now some of the pics on my site do suck O.K. all of them do. But I don want to take anything off now as I feel what is there is a good cross reference of what I do. In 2009 I plan to do a much needed overhaul on my site.

Thanks

I gave it a shot and added some comments too.

It took a little to find the link.
There is a "vote" link at the bottom ot the "For Sale" page

Put in my vote. I would bet that you will get more votes for the three knives on your for sale page because that is where the vote button is.

Nice website - great furniture too! I really like that floor lamp. My vote's been submitted, but I expect I'll go back to check stuff out again just for kicks. I suspect you're going to have an awful lot of email to read! :D

I voted. You have some really great looking knives. Any of them would look great on my belt. :) You have some really great talent and it shows in all of your knives. Good luck to you.

I'm in. Kinda curious to see what you do with the site cause I like it now.

I can't get over this knife!!!! I don't know if it's even eligible for the vote but my wife and I are both drooling over it. Not even the style I'm usually attracted to (tactical/survival) but man, what an execution. Caught our eyes from the word go. I don't think that narrowing down to any style will help at all when IMO knives are judged on an indivdual basis. Whatever spirit went into the making of such knives needs to be duplicated beacause that 'thing" transcends generic traits of "what type of knife do you like?" great work all around... but seriously, man, cool.

I voted and your website is good! One suggestion on the individual knives listed either forsale or pictured in the gallery. List the individaul specs as to length, blade thickness, type hardware, metal type with RC of blade. You can not list too much information IMO. I hope this helps it was not meant to be critical. I did see you list the types of materials you work with. However, a breakdown on each individual knife will give a prospective buyer enough details to make a decision and cut down on emails and phone calls to ask the specifications. Good Luck!

Hey Will,

Interesting idea you're trying out. It will be interesting to hear how it works. I think the main improvements you might shoot for are in the realm of the photos: focus, lighting, bigger, etc. Otherwise, it all looks good.

All the best, Phil
