This is a fixed blade custom knife crafted by knifemaker David Schott. It is entirely designed, ground, assembled and finished by in my Salem, Ma. workshop. No outsourced work was done on this knife whatsoever and it is completely handmade. It features my unique styled handles, which are found on the majority of knives I have made.

"Opposing Burl" Wharncliff Blade

This knife blade features a distinct double hamon and a fine 2000 grit finish. It has been brought out through multiple etches in ferric chloride. The burl on this knife is amazing, as shown in the closeup pictures below. In person, the whole handle looks on fire. I have spent a great deal of time crafting the handles on this knife for aesthetic and optimal feel in one's hand. The scales have been finished with Tung oil making the surface appear glass-like while remaining grippy. The one piece scales are sculpted to serve as their own guard, with a thicker styled flair that prevents your hand from slipping forward. The entire spine is hand fileworked from tang to the scales' front edge. This one fits like a glove and almost did not make it to the public market.

Knife will be shipped priority with insurance, and packaged very well. It will be shaving sharp upon receipt. I have left the sheath to be a choice of the buyer on this piece. A custom sheath made by world class sheathmaker Paul Long is available to be made for this knife at an additional cost. Inquire for pricing at time of purchase.
