optivisor magnification recomendation

i have a 10 power optivisor and i know that too strong but i got it from grandpa. i would like to replace the lens but i dont know what would be a good magnification to go with. what do yall recommend?

I use for scrimshaw optivisor 2,5 X and additional optiloupe, sometime I use prismatic Zeiss 5X

2.5x, remember that the higher the magnification the shorter the depth of field [ the area in focus]

thanks mete. that helped explain what i was needing to know alot better. anyone know if the craft stores will carry the lenses in 2.5x? if so then i wont have to order them.

Stop @ nearby HF and get yerself ~$2 optivisor they sell.
It has dual mag factor - you just flip down an additional
lens for the extra magnification. I think it was on sale for
less than $2 recently.

They also have full face shield mask, breathing masks with
cartridges etc.

ive already got the optivisor but i just need less magnification for it. and ive got a respirator and a full face shield.

Found a site that has them cheeep....

Sorry, Jacob, I'm braindead. They fit the optisight. The lenses they have listed for the accursite will fit the Optivisor, though.
