Do you think Kabar micarta scales will dye orange?

Even after drying a full day, the paint was really soft, so I baked it in my outdoor kydex oven at 180 for 2 hours. Now its on there better and its harder, more like enamel.

Not a big fan of those, but they would look cool with the orange blade.
