I'm looking to buy a folder with an orange handle, a blade length of 3-3.5 inches, and a strong lock. Any suggestions? Price around 40-80 dollars

Kershaw Tyrade now available with same composite CPM D2 blade and Orange G10 handle. I think this is best solution for that price.

With proven steel, it is also super modern, composite, hot looking blade.
And handle is best practical solid G10 (fiber glass).

Also this is Ken Onion design.

I do not really see anything else which fit this requirement better.

Thanks, Vassili.

You can pick up a Kershaw Zing from your local Walmart for around $40 now.

Nozh has a very good suggestion, the Tyrade with orange G-10 handles.

benchmade grip. lock is very strong, plus it has the lifesharp sharpening thing.

Probably the grip. The Tyrade is over his 3.5" limit, but if you're willing to allow another quarter inch, that would probably be the better deal.

You might try a Blade-Tech Pro Hunter Lite. They are pretty nice knives and very reasonable in price. There's one on Ebay right now for around 35 bucks with shipping included. They have a 3 1/2 inch PE blade. I have one of their smaller mouse knives and it's been a sturdy little folder. All of the ones mentioned above are good knives too.

You could wait a few weeks for the upcoming
KS1775OR - OD-1 Orange G-10, 14C28N blade steel
It has an MSRP of $79.95. Internet and store prices should be a lot lower.
It is going to be limited though.

An orange OD-1:thumbup:
i would probably hold off If I were you, I had no idea Kershaw was realeasing an OD-1 with orange G-10, although I do have the black, and its great!

And another important thing about Tyrade - Kershaw has phosorus bronze as washers, not teflon. This is alone huge advantage, and with CPM D2 composite blade and fiberglass G1 handle it left Griptilian way way behind. Honestly, this is just a different leagues, and thanks to Kershaw to make it for reasonable price.

Also it has Speed Safe.

So really you should be absolutely crazy about axis lock to choose cheap plastic handle and average steel on Grip over Tyrade. Personaly, I do not really like axis, it get stuck to often (even I am not using it too much) and require constant care - like oiling. It was hot deal 6 years ago, but now it is pretty old.

Thanks, Vassili.

Griptilian has bronze washers as well - I was wrong, I just disassemble it ad check.
