Orange G10 Handled RATS; Love em or hate em?

I am preparing to purchase my first RAT, an RC4. I like the iea of high vis handles, I have orange scales on my XM-18. My question is, do those who have them like em or do you wish you had gone a different route?
All input is appreciated.
 
i really like the orange G10 on my ESEE-3, i thought i wasnt gonna like it, but in retrospect is was a good choice, if you are gonna be in a place where easily seeing the knife is needed i would recommend it, but if you wanna stay low key the micarta is probably a better choice, in the end, its all good.
 
Not the same level of traction, but they still feel nice. I have them on my ESEE-4. Been carrying an orange Griptilian for months.

Love the orange. :thumbup:
 
I like em both ways. If i had to pick though, I'd go linen micarta

I wish there was an orange linen micarta. I chose a black RC-4 but always wonder "what might have been". Maybe some day, I really like the look of the orange.
 
They sure are ugly, but handy to have. Handy won over ugly for me.
 
I might be like Mrs S because anything orange is great. I love my ESEE 3 with the orange G10 too :)
 
I have always thought that the blueish maxped, bold orange, SAR/yuppie gear stuff looked pretty cool. I have the RATPACK RC3 with orange handles and I have to say, if I were ever to buy orange G10 this is how it should be done. The black/orange goes great together, the scales are well made and the color has held strong from pocket and belt wear. I am doing too much primitive stuff nowadays for it to really fit my kit, but it definately remains at the front of the shelf for using.
 
I was a hater.
I couldnt believe the Rat Pack chose orange.
When I got my Rat Pack knife it eased up.
Then I started carrying it EDC.

I AM REFORMED!
I LOVE ORANGE G-10 NOW!
My RC5 is still my favorite blade even though I EDC my RP3
 
Got them on my RP Knife and I actually hate them. Thinking of getting another RC-3 and swapping the scales off. I strongly prefer the Micarta.

I've been the same way. I just feel too poser wearing a bunch of camo and mil gear. I've got the blue maxped and keep an RC3 sheath on the side...the orange with it looks hot. I'm tempted to grab one of the new red/yellow sar/ems jumbos.... mostly for the new grab handle it appears they have on them. I do wish they made the smaller maxped pouches in the new colors.

Not a huge fan of the orange, just because I don't like orange. That being said, I have the orange scales on both the RC-4 and Rat Pack RC-3 and have never had any issues with grip or comfort. Still don't like orange, though.

I don't care for the orange/od combo, but love the orange/black of the Rat pack knife. If all of them came orange/black I would probably pick up others.
 
the orange makes it easy to find when I drop it in leaf litter.
more/less grippy doesn't seem to mean much in a knife with a grip this small in my hand.
OTOH, if you think the orange is too bright, Mr Shotty's rit dyed RPK looks pretty good - the black dye subdued it just enough to not be obnoxious, but still easy to find.
