Orange gear pics

Hey Jeepnut,

That looks like a Big Agnes Seedhouse. I just got one for Christmas from my wife and plan to take it for its first test drive during the CT Wilderness skills gathering. What do you think of yours?

The SL-1 rocks. VERY light, and has a lot more room than you would think. Gotta have the footprint or something under it as part of what makes it light is the thin floor.

The whole mesh upper part makes Spring/Fall overnights nice and cool. I would definitely recommend it! :thumbup:

I've always liked orange and blue and my two cars show this:

My wife remembered I mentioned that I was starting to look for a new tent because my other 3 season tent was starting to show its age. She remembered it because my mother in law is named Agnes. :eek: The guy in EMS convinced her to buy a SL2 but I exchanged it for the SL1 and got a footprint for it also. I have set it up several times in the house and I can't wait for the first time out in the woods. Probably the gathering. Glad to hear you sound satisfied.

Here is my orange gear, minus my orange 550 cord which I can't seem to find at this moment. Love my Barkies.

Blue and orange are complimentary colors, hadn't thought of that when I laid these out on my usual blue blanket for pics.

the best part of this pic is that it doesn't give anything up for the sake of orange. all of that stuff performs. those orange led's are bright but i still like my photon x for features like the beacon and warranty. for $1, you can't lose.

trident's really just for effect, though i do keep a toothbrush and toothpaste in my mini psk (which is actually yellow). teeth are important for survival.

i need an orange nalgene, bic lighter, and duct tape.

You should add a pair of orange handled EMS shears to your setup for first aid stuff!

I forget one little piece of orange I recently purchased to protect my delicate ass from the cold, cold ground - my little closed-cell seating pad for breaktime when shoeing and/or hunting:

Just a heads up - Fenix has introduced a new AAA light, the E01, and it is available in HA ORANGE!! I just ordered one for $15 from fenix store. IMHO this will be an awesome PSK or last ditch flashlight.

Here is a little bit-o-orange...:cool:

CountyCom pocket organizer:
* Orange Swedish Fire Steel
* Orange CC multi-bit screwdriver
* Orange CC folding razor
* Orange Mini Bic
* Orange Light My Fire spork
* Compact pen
* Compact notepad

I made this kit about 2 years ago, when I caught the orange gear bug myself. I suppose I could find an orange pen and notepad if I had to. A length of orange paracord would probably fit in the spare loop as well. Hope you like. :)
