Orange Handle Drop Point

This is a very lightweight knife with orange micarta handles. The steel is 3/32 O1 and the handle has been sketeltonized to reduce weight. The handle is extended over the blade for stiffness and to provide thumb support on top and on the side. Fastened with colby bolts.

Overall length 8 1/2", about 1 1/2 at widest point, flat ground to 0.040 and hand finished to 600 grit.

Comes with your choice of concelex, black or orange kydex sheath.

I have the brown micarta one in the pictures and I would highly recommend giving this new drop point style a try.

I like the grip options that the handle design provides. In addition to the ones shown, you can also comfortably place your outstretched index finger on the spine of the blade right where the added length to the handle extends beyond the thumb groove. This grip I use frequently without thinking and this handle style is a great match. You can also grip the sides of the blade with your thumb and index finger resting on the added handle side extensions and easily do repetitive small chops like when dicing vegetables.
