The CASE Half Whittler has been in a love/hate thing with me....

I had a previous HW that was CASE Crandall, a single-spring knife, very slim, very pretty green bone but bad blade cant (droop) some blade rub and gaps too....

New one is two spring, but has no centre liner. W&T excellent, no blade cant either, opens out smartly, no gaps. BUT some blade rub, slightly raised spring on open and HIDEOUS colour bone. Was supposed to be grilled salmon or some such thing. What arrived was little kitty pink with white blotches, very raw anaemic salmon! Couple of tea dye baths has got it to a kind of smoked salmon orange. I do now enjoy using and carrying it. But CASE dye jobs? Russian roulette to say the least...

Thanks mate.
Jack Black Jack Black that FFT was in turn a gift from waynorth waynorth .Thank you again Charlie.:D.

Cool Meako, I didn't realise that - or I had just forgotten! :D Well thank you to both of you :) I often carry it when I am out hiking, particularly in the winter when it is a good knife to open with cold fingers

I have fond memories of taking a bunch insane photos....Top O Matic 5000 is ringing a bell.

Extremely nice of you to say so:thumbsup: The swedge really offsets the Sheepfoot, the more so since it has no nick.

Carrots are good as juice, raw, or cooked:cool:

Thanks, Will

Is that a factory blade or did you swedge it yourself and grind off the nick?
