A few easy questions for the afficianados.

I have seen some pics of RC-3s with both green and orange liners between the tang and slabs. What are the designators or more easily, how do you get orange?

Also, what it the difference between a plain edge RC-3 and the MIL version? The canvas micarta vs linen??

I have the Swat rc-3 #51 and really like the contrast of the red liner with green handle. Get one from the Rat website as the dealer's don't carry them, better hurry they were a 1 time production run.
good hunting

I also have a SWAT knife. The red liners really stand out.

Thanks people. The SWAT was indeed what I was looking at. I think I saw it on the RAT site under RC-3 pics. I thought the orange/red liner really set it off for contrast, so I was trying to make the best selection before pulling the trigger on a purchase.

Now thinking a desert tan RC-3. Hard to admit as a 37 y.o. guy that I have been going back and forth for over a week on which color scheme to buy.....

I guess it's the loss of testosterone and addition of estrogen as I age...

I love my tan! ...Even though after about a year of use and abuse I stripped the coating and blued it. But it's my favorite color combo for sure. Can't go wrong with canvas micarta either. :)

I have never done it, but how hard would it be to add liners if you desired? I really like the look of the liners myself and would prefer them even on the knives that do not come with them. Possible for your average idiot I wonder?

It would seem easy thinking about it...

I wish I would've taken the time to ask before ordering my rc-3. I loved the look of liners but didn't realize they didn't come with all the different models.
