Pretty exciting! I'm looking forward to this one as well. I might make it my hot weather, summer carry. I like the Manix 2 Ligtweights since they don't drag down thinner material shorts.
 
I was planning on picking up the XHP version next week....now I can't decide!
Unfortunately "both" is not viable for me presently. :(
 
Man, I just love the way they keep rolling out the different colors on the FRCP!

Gotta say, this one is tempting as hell!
 
I love the Manix 2, but I have never tried a lightweight one til now. Im kinda a sucker for s90v. Thanks for sharing. I didnt even have this on my radar.
 
Well, it wasn't on my radar either....and not in my budget, but I ordered two, one for me, one for my wife. I too am a sucker for orange...and in combination with S90V, irresistible!
 
Do most buy these exclusives for users? Have one on order, but will be my first manix and was thinking of just keeping it in nib. But I really want to one for a user, so I was looking at picking up another manic.

What's everyone's favorite between the lightweight or the other?
 
I haven't purchased anything in a while so I went for this. I too can't pass up a good orange folder and my favorite brand is Spyderco so this was a no brainer especially with the steel. I know most people love the VG-10 but I have issues with sharpening it, not other steels but this one so I will probably replace my orange Delica as my EDC with this fine knife.

Added this one to the Manix collection. S110V, Maxamet and now S90V? I'm getting spoiled over here :P
Was thinking of picking up the XHP version... the price is nice, but that brown... I dunno how much I like brown FRN but it could be a nice user
 
This is tempting...about $20 more than the regular g10 s30v Manix 2, but it got s90v and organge color and it is a dealer exclusive.

Pretty sure its belt-finished satin. Spyderco usually doesn't do bead-blasted on US-made spydies. I cannot even recall a US made bead blast spydie but not entirely sure.
 
I only asked because the finish on the Maxamet blade is bead-blasted not satin. I actually prefer the usual satin finish.
