People buy the popular models to speculate on such as the PM2 and to some extent some of the others such as the Military. Manix 2 is one that people probably buy more to use than speculate on.
I think I like the G10 version a little bit more. I ignored the LW versions until I felt one and then I thought it was unique enough that I should get one. I consider the Manix 2 a "work" knife and the increased weight of the G10 version fits in with that.

I don't think it is bead blast, it is more of a tumbled finish. People sometimes call it "stone washed" but I think in reality they use ceramic "stones". The Maxamet appears to be that tumbled finish, and my 154CM hollow-ground Manix 2 has the same finish.

Please be sure to post up some pics! I'm not sure I want to get in on this one quite just yet, until I see some pics of it! I do need a good kayaking/river knife and this one would be great for that!
 
I have mine on order and can't wait. I have no problem with the FRN handle without liners. I, like probably 95° of our community probably do participate in hard use of our knives so all the extra weight and rigidity are wasted on us. Even my knives that are built like tanks are only used for what a knife is meant to do.
 
Hey, dp2826...Okay, I just got lost. Post #20... What folder is that with the great orange scales? Sure isn't the same as the CS exclusive...
If anyone would tell me what that folder is, and where available with those scales and S90V, I surely would like one. Thanx.:)

Pretty sure the Maxamet version is stonewashed, not bead blasted.
 
Carried the Delica a few days and decided to go back and carry the Manix to see if I was being a bit over sensitive to the size. I do find that I forget it is in my jean watch pocket next to my spare magazine. I do like the size of the blade a bit better than the Delica, should be a better peanut butter/sandwich maker than the Delica. We will see, what we will see. So many options, so little time.

My EDC as well as the Samsung G5 that took the pic.
 
I just saw that New Graham is selling these orange s90v Manix 2s as well....I guess they are not limited to only CS.

They get a few of the collector's club and that's what they had for sale.
