Hello

I have an orcish archer's knife-dagger hybrid to offer. :pirate:
Its blade has been designed to be excellent at carving nasty arrowheads out of trees and other stuff like zombies or pesky elf corpses :]
So if you are a glorious orc warrior, lacking a good knife, than this one was crafted for you!

The handle is beech wood, with copper pins.
The sheath is hand sewn and carved of 3 mm thick cowhide.

Its price is 119 dollars, postal and paypal fee included! ;)

Cool.

Stupid Australian law prohibts me owning any knife with a double sharpened blade or it would be on it's way to Oz.

Great knife, just love it, like Andy said we can't get it shipped to australia because of the double edge, but if you are willing to make onee similar with a false edge I be more than happy to buy one from you, let me know either way, much appreciated and keep up the great work
Cheers

Thanks guys! :)
It is made of 5160, one of the easiest steels to heat treat. I bet it is explained a hundred times in the forum :)
It has to be normalized first a few times (2-3), than heat it to cherry red and quench it in oil. After all this I re-heat it to aprox. 250 celsius, this is about straw-yellow if you doesn't have fancy stuff, like termometer :D.
I let my bigger blades (khukries and swords) to turn to brownish-blue just at the spine, to make it softer, meantime the edge area remains straw-yellow and hard. This gives a lot of toughness to the blade, so it won't crack if you hit a bone or stone, chopping bushes and small trees in the backyard.

I know it's explained but there are two schools of thought to heat treating: Science and Art.

Thanks!

Science and Art - hmm... well I'm not really an artist and certainly not a scientist
