I'm a fan of the Kukri they are fine fighters, choppers and a lot more. While I do make a contemporary version of this venerable weapon I decided to turn something kind of unique with a little twist out. This weapon will not only chops as well as a traditional Kukri but is a great stabber as well. The differential heat treatment of the blade brings the most out of the 1/4" thick 1095 carbon steel. With an edge tempered to an approximate 58 Rc the tip is a tougher at a lower 55 Rc and the spine is even more flexible in the low 50s Rc.
SPECS:
Steel: 1/4" thick 1095
Blade Length: 12.3 inches long satin finished
Overall Length: 18 inches long
Handle: Koa wood bolted and epoxied to knifes full tang
Sheath: 8/9 ounce brown leather
Price: $295 Shipped in US
I prefer PayPal (my account is kelley_ward@keysight.com) but accept other forms of payments.
