I love 1911's and really want to get one in the future. I like my HK a lot more than the glock. I picked up the 27 because I know it was reliable and I could afford it, I needed a smaller one for carrying concealed.

I do like my 1911, but that's because it was my grandfathers. 1944 Remington rand service pistol.

And i still don't care for glock, the no safety thing just kills me. Why i didn't buy a kahr tonight instead of the ruger
 
I want a Kimber 1911 someday. And a Baby Desert Eagle..I've handled a Desert Eagle before..those are insane

I'm a 1911 fan, and I'm old enough! My grandpa who served in VietNAM has 3...one in his safe, one on top of his safe, and one on top of his refrigerator. He keeps them all loaded except the one in his safe. He lives in a bad part of town.

I am very jealous! I love the old rem 1911 service pistols . I will own one in the near future with a matching m1 garand!
 
I have held, shot disassembled, reassembled and played with a dessert eagle. Fun gun, nuts, but fun. Even nuttier is Smith and Wesson 500sw revolver, I'm a big guy and it took all i had to handle it.
 
Yeah I live in a good area....and if someone wants to walk up the hill to my house to rob me they're pretty dumb so I'm pretty sure I could beat the crap outta them lol

As a kid......a younger kid Knotty probably super glued his grandpa's 1911 on top of the fridge :p

I like Sig! Desert Eagles are cool because they are .50 but not a gun Id really want as a carry or defense gun, if I wanted a hand canon that would be on my list.
