Same here. When I saw my mom getting choked, adrenaline just rushed through my body. I can't even explain it. It's like you have super human strength. Just an immense amount of power at your finger tips.

I know what you mean. Adrenaline is some crazy stuff. Have you heard the story where I guy was able to lift a 2000 pound boulder off of him, just because of adrenaline?
 
You're man of the house now Knotty, take care of your mom. Make sure she knows that you'll do whatever you can to keep her from going back to that loser. Sometimes she just might need someone to talk to, be that someone she can count on and grab this chance to bring your family closer.

No I haven't heard of it. Sounds pretty crazy though. I couldn't stand being trapped under or in something. Now if it's hide-and-go seek than it's game on. Nobody ever looks in the dryer. :p

Thanks gooeytek. Those words really inspire me. I'll do anything and everything to keep my mom from going back to him. I've kind of mentally prepared myself to help my mom and anyone else in my family that might need it, although they'll probably be stubborn and think that they can just go through it by themselves. It's nice to be able to talk to someone and tell them what you're feeling. Hopefully I can get them to come to the realization that if they need to talk to someone than I'm able to.

On another note, I'm watching the new Top Gear with some cookies and cream ice-cream.
 
Knotty, that's a rough ordeal to go through and I am glad you could get the story off your chest. In college there are sociology/criminal justice classes that can answer a lot of the "why" questions you have had. In the end what matters is that you can rest easier with a lot less worry

I was able to talk to here about why she wasn't able to let go of him and she said that he had this kind of "strangle" effect. She said that there was something about him that kept her coming back and that he had this way of making you feel like the bad guy.
 
I'm glad to hear that piece of garbage is out of you and your moms life Knotty. My mom had a similar relationship with a guy for awhile but he never hit her. Not many things lower than hitting a woman:thumbdn:
 
I think I've worn the cone of shame long enough. I'm changing everything back to the way it should be.

Thanks for your support. It's cool to hear from someone else that's had a similar experience. I don't know what would drive a man to hit a woman, but whatever it is, I hope that it doesn't happen again or to me or any of my brothers.
 
Chester, you still selling those stands? I knew you were selling them awhile ago, but I wasn't smart enough to take you up on that. It's ok if your not, but I just wanted I should ask.

I think it's an ego thing. One of my sisters in Cali had a boyfriend that hit her. He was about 5'3 or less and had a complex about it, too. He definitely looked very insecure about it.

Cool CRKT Chester. Is that one of the US made ones? They had some interesting US made models way back like the Voodoo.
