Wakey Wakey, hands on snakey.

Hand Check!!
I'm so pissed at all these complaint threads. If you have a problem SEND IT IN! You have the best warranty in the industry, and they refuse to use it, instead they just want to tell us about it.

I'll admit I made one for my Griptilian, but that's because cs want helping me out.
Same here, but I think most of the "problems" could be solved with a little bit of common sense, listening to the people that are trying to help, and hand eye coordination. "My blades off center!" "I have a sticky lock." "My torsion bar rattles!"

The thing that gets me is that I guarantee that when they post a thread about an issue... there has been a thread made about it like 3 or 4 days prior to it, but no one knows how to click on the search bar.

U guys are complaining about the same things that mods have been complaining about since forums began... simple answer is

THIS

Maybe a sticky thread with some common fixes end-users can try (if they are so inclined) would be helpful. It seems like the same issues come up pretty often. If the common solutions don't work (or if the person doesn't want to mess with it themselves), then send it in to warranty.

Blade off-center - folded paper trick
Sticky lock - pencil/Sharpie on the lock face
Rattling torsion bar - add grease
Vertical blade play - adjust the pivot and/or lockbar
Horizontal blade play - adjust the pivot
0550/0560 doesn't open easy/smooth - fingers off the lockbar, let it wear in

Doesn't work..... Its a sticky, ppl just cruise over it. I have tried everything on my forum to no avail...stickies, announcements, requiring posting in a particular section etc

I like it!

Blade off-center - folded paper trick:
1.Fold a matchbook or wedge into the side that the blade is off center, You want to push the blade all the way over to the opposite side.
2.lossen all screws
3.with the knife closed
4.start at the first body screw and tighten it a little the the next screw up ect....until centered.

You do this because if all the screws don't have near equal tension it can cause an off center blade..

Thats my lil contribution!

I agree about the stickies, people don't really read them. Plus on tapatalk they don't show up unless you hit a button to get there

Here's a sneak peek of what I've been doing for the past day or two.
