Yay, it's looking like I'll be able to do corn detasseling this year. I'll have more money than I know what to do with. Priorities first though......like food.

The trade thing is getting worked out, I told him to send the knives back to me and I'll send his back. It's not a big deal to me, except the guy I was going to trade for a 560 was getting the short end of the stick until I decided just to buy it from him outright. That way everyone's happy. The funny thing is after creating that thread the guy got slammed by most members and they said they would avoid him in the future. Kinda funny actually.

This is, in a sense, a good sign for all of us that are living on small grants and ad hoc contracts. I'd just advise that you don't take for granted their intentions merely from the fact that you've made the in-person cut. I made that assumption once, and it was dead wrong. Prepare for the interview, and assume you have a handful of really smart competitors. Best of luck!

Every new knife I'm getting now is likely going right back out the door...so don't feel too bad. Your misery is in good company. Sorry to hear about your phone though. That blows.

It's likely from the experience I've had with paintballers, but the idea of trading with anyone remotely unknown is just a terrible thought to me. I'd trade with you guys since it seems we've built a rapport here, but not with a random guy in the trade forum, no matter how much I want what he has. I've seen too many people going back and saying things after the fact. Bad taste in my mouth man...

You basically walk down the rows of corn and take the tassel (is that how you spell it?) off the top of the corn stalk and either toss it on the ground or put it in a basket. It's to re-pollinate the other stalks of corn. You do that everyday for about 3-4 weeks for about 7-9 hours a day. It's hard-work, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm not one to shy away from hard-work.
 
umm, Thanks Kershaw for the pivot hardware...............But I asked for a pocket clip, and the screws :confused: :p

I think the FS Section needs to have a "Required List" in order for you to sell something, specifically pictures.
 
Anyone here have a custom wallet? I was at the "other" forum, and ended up at a thread, specifically for showing off their custom wallets. Some looked real nice, and some looked over the top weird.

The one that I received from my Great Grandma two years ago for my birthday works just fine. It was originally my Great Grandpas, but he passed awhile ago.

Yup, the bay it twas and not cheap :(

Its uber rare and glad I got it for my collection.

BP was the first Leek named as such, the second being the Black Pearl insert model.

BP = Black/Purple
 
Well, here is a little speed contest for my 2000th post. First of all, first person to say they want the knife gets it.

Here is what ya gotta do. After you say you want the knife, you have 2 days to send me a picture of 2 REGIONAL snacks that you enjoy, after which you will send them to me. Once you send me tracking info, I send the knife.

Here is the prize, along with a treat that started up in Philly.
