Oh yeah, I forgot about the holiday. My wife has been observing Passover, and I'm not religious so I lose track of many holidays... Heh..


I decided on the Sony NEX VG30. I've wanted the VG cam since I saw the VG10. I dig the whole form factor, and the fact that it has the same APS-C sensor size and crop factor as the 60D makes me feel pretty good about it since it's familiar territory. I don't have a bunch of Canon glass so I'm not losing any investment.

I played with the VG30 at B&H, which is two blocks from where I work. That power zoom 18-200mm lens is nuts. The picture looks great, and my Premiere Pro can handle the 60i footage just fine in getting as 30p.
 
That was indeed a good read. I do believe that I'm going to be avoiding Striders now. Good news for CRK :D
 
Maybe not the right thread for this, but I have a question for my fellow brethren: who has a factory black 0560 scale they would be willing to sell, huh? I want it.

I was going to record a video today, but I went home from brunch with my grandma and grandpa instead of my mom. I'm going home tomorrow so I'll see about then.

I can't wait to get them back though. Been going through KVT withdrawals.
 
So if Mick Strider is a fraud, why is his product still popular?? Do people just refuse to acknowledge it? Or do they just not care?

All of the above is what I think.

Some people don't care about the maker, as long as the knife is high quality. That's the stance that people take with microtech.

Or they just don't read into it/don't want to waste their time with drama, rumors, or accusations.

And I'm sure there are people out there who adore Mick, and say everyone is wrong and he must be super awesome special forces man no matter what anyone else says, as long as HE says its true
