Deep carry too! It works great on my Wave. On the Charge, though, the file hits the bottom of the pocket clip, so it won't open without pressing the release (so you actually nudge the pocket clip out a little so the file can swing open).

Just got done making 3 0550 scales. 2 od micarta and and one cf. Going to try and make 2 more 560 od micartas tomorrow and maybe a cf too.

I'm starting to get into traditionals again. Been lusting after some GECs for the past couple days. They have some incredibly beautiful knives in their lineup like the Pemberton in ebony. I need me one of those.

The deep carry clip is an accessory you have to buy. It only works with the Charge, Surge and Wave.. Im not crazy about it though. Mine wiggles side to side wayyyy to much, to the point where its not even functional. The retention isn’t the best, and being that theres no texturing on the handles, im always worried it will slide out of my pocket.

If they were to have the clip mounted via one of the body screws it would be much more appealing to me.

I bent my clip inwards a little to give it a little more force to hold it in place. I've never had an issue with it falling out of my pocket. There is a fair amount of wiggle on account of the clip more or less just floating (just held in place by the notch aligning with the lock for the tools), but it seems to work fine still. It's a bit annoying when using the pliers if the clip is by my fingertips, but if I rotate it so the clip is against my palm, it's not really noticeable.
 
I gotta do some research and get one.... Can anyone recommend/give me a run down of the tools on the surge, charge, and wave?

AKA which is best for EDC. I only want the "regular" tools, no need for a IED probe or other such nonsense for this guy :p
 
Morning Mark. I've got my first baseball game today at 4. I'm looking forward to that.

The corn detasseling website that has all of the dates and meeting times for the workers has finally been updated. Now I just have to see how I'm going to fit that in my schedule.

I love the looks of GEC's....but I would still have a hard time using one, there just to perfect haha, here's the one I've always been in love with!

I want a gec #76 outlaw jack with slanted bolsters.

As for multi tool recommendation, I like my Vic swisstool spirit a lot better then I did wave.

I’d say if you were looking for strictly EDC.. the surge is out. Its a big tool. Even though i will be carrying mine with me everyday... but, it works, because im a big tool :D
 
I carry the Charge AL every day. It's a bit bigger than the Juice line, but it does everything. I don't like being without it.

If your budget doesn't allow a Charge, then try a Wave. Same tool set, a bit cheaper.

I agree with you Mario in that order. Unless you need a bigger or smaller tool. I had the surge and it was too big for most everday tasks. If i had it on a jobsite, it would be perfect though. I also had a juice but it was too small for most things i needed it for.
 
Dang you guys and this multi tool talk. Now I really have my eye on a Juice s2. YOu can get a p7 clip for it and for me I think it will work well. I have a larger Leatherman MUT I believe it's called for my shooting bag.
 
i dont carry a multi tool, they arent tough enough for me.... i have broken every one i have owned, gerber, leatherman etc....
