Hey knotty when I sent something to Mario in new york from my house in va, it went all the way to florida! That's what 4 states in the wrong direction?

I made a video and a bonus one today. Will post them tomorrow in Mario's contest. I could barely talk so I thought I would share my decrepid vocal cords, that and I thought it sounded funny because I don't sound like that at all!

I guess I don't have it as bad as I thought.

Random question for you. What's the most dangerous call you've been to?

Man, I don't know? Quite a few bad ones. I've been in some big heavy industrial and commercial stuff. I'm usually on a roof ventilating cutting down through the roof with a saw and flames are shooting out of the cracks as fast as you cut them. Car wrecks and vehicle vs pedestrian calls can be bad. The really bad ones are when not all the victims make it out of the structure. I've seen a train vs a rail worker. And a bridge pylon driver vs pedestrian. A house blow up and we had to search a 1500 yard radius to try and find the victim. When I pulled in it looked like snow falling from the sky but it was in june. We had to dig out the basement searching. I was 2 ft away from him and never new it. He was under a refrigerator. I don't want to get into too many details and probably said more than I should but you get the idea, its all bad. Even worse when you loose someone.

Man, that sucks.(to say the least) To be honest, I don't think I would be able to live through all that, with my sanity anyways.

Some voices to some names, except you since you are using a pseudo voice.

I was on a roof once and maning a secondary line for flare ups on top of a restaurant. There was a small hole in the roof and my capt. Was 10 ft. in front of me. He turned around along with me to yell to the ground about man power. I turned around and that hole quadrupled in size and was a foot from him. I yelled at him and we ran down the ladder and gave an all call to evacuate the structure. The roof fell in minutes later. That was one of the closer calls.

And that someone will probably not end up being me.

There are great parts to it too. Kids look up to you, people respect you, you get to help people who really need help, the brotherhood is awesome knowing you can trust your life to your team, learning how to push yourself and your tools to the limits, and the self satisfaction of knowing you are making atleast a tiny difference.

Oh and we're pretty good at drinking too!

Haha. I was actually really considering Airforce. Maybe not a pilot, but traveling around the world is something I'd like to do.

I saw this Medford earlier. You get a chunk of D2 (Pretty inexpensive steel) with a super deluxe paracord wrapped handle, What look like terrible ergos, ugly grinds and a nylon sheath all yours for a mere 525 dollars! What a steal!

Ridiculous.

Dang, those would be rough to go to. I've never really talked to my dad about his firefighting career, but I know there were a couple of bad calls he had to go to. One of them the house blew up because of a leaky gas line. That house had a couple of pets and I believe there was a little girl there that was able to make through the hospital and everything.

The other bad call I know about is my dad was crawling around in an attic and the attic caved in and he fell to the second floor. He was fine except for a couple bumps and bruises.
Someone has to do it:o
Hats off to you.

I know I'm one of the "kids" who looks up to people like firefighters, policeman, and military personnel. That's part of why I love books and T.V. Shows about them. I've considered joining something like the military or being a policeman/firefighter, but I'm just not sure. Anyone that's willing to risk their life for someone else as the utmost respect from me.

I'll just echo everybody else and give kudos to JuJu:thumbup:

I'll do that too.

My favorite story (which is also real) is the story of Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon.

Knotty, you and Hustler will be happy. My snake doesn't like my camel.........

I've always been a big fan of Carlos Hathcock.

How did you test that theory?
