it feels pretty smooth, but once you really grip it I'm sure it helps, the knife gets locked in you hand once squeezed-in your fist.

Make sure you keep a knife close by in case it bites you , you can cut its head off, but it probably still wont let go. You should watch snakebytes lots of good info. If you pour mouthwash in a snakes mouth it will let go.

Couldn't you just pull it off instead of decapitating it? Cutting it's head off would be totally metal but I don't imagine Mark would like to since it's his pet.

I dropped him on accident a couple minutes before that video. He's really friendly, didn't even go into that S position thing they do when he was shedding and I picked him up. And he's tiny, so a bite wouldn't hurt, it would scare you, but not really hurt.

And I always have a knife.

I don't think his fangs are big enough to stick in me, so nothing would be required if he bit me. And if he bit me, I probably deserved it.
And yes, I don't think I'm going to be decapitating my snake.
