SO I got one of my 0360's in today! Pretty damn sweet!
I found something very intersting though when comparing to my first gen 0350 serial #0500.
You look at both and obviously there is less steel in the blade of a 0360 right? So I pick one up in one hand and the other in the other hand. The 0360 feels like it weighs more. This can't be right can it? So I get the scale out and put the 0350 on it, weighs in at 5.6 oz
I get the 0360 and put it on and doesn't it weigh in at 5.9 oz. I played with both on my scale and those are the real numbers I came up with.
I get to looking and the liners aren't drilled/ milled out on the 0360 and they are on my low serial number 0350st. So even though there is less steel on the blade on a 0360 the low serial number 0350 with full size blade weighs less! .3 oz!
I am not a polly prissy pants or whatever, I won't be crying about the weight like "some" do. I just have questions now!
When did they stop drilling/ milling out the liners on the 0350's time guesstimation, and what serial number?
And are the original 0360's drilled out or are they full slabs like the new ones?
Jim, go get a scale and start weighing (since you have an original 0360)!
I thought about making a thread about it, but I really don't want to give the PHtards any ammo or reason to moan.
