Morning everyone. Off to do some paperwork and drug test for the new job. Still nervous (not about the drug test :D).

cant stand it, cbcf will be here today

I'm now a part of the cool group! Mine will be here this week!! Don't know if you can tell from my excitement, but if you look at all my past posts, they've mostly been about this knife. Nuff said.

doubt it, im mad at my current 561... sent in for lock rock and now i have lock flex. Plus they "sharpened" it when it was there when i taped the blade off, and wrote DO NOT SHARPEN all over teh paperwork. they butchered it bad, two different angles on one side of the blade. not impressed

i didnt make a stink about it, probably should have, but i just cant do it, im too nice. I love that they made an effort, but the lock bar was so stiff when i got it i had to pry it open with a torx driver. i have pics of the lock bar actually touching the liner side when no blade is present.

Someone at KAI done goofed :(

Got my workout this morning!

4 loads of laundry, bills, garbage run to the dump, picked up the front and back yard, stopped at Auto zone to get a lightbulb, went picked up the ol ladys car and drove it to get inspected, it will be awhile so I walked the half mile up the hill to the house. Now waiting for the call to go back down the hill and drive it back into her. She doesnt like to drive my jeep especially since its caked in mud from turkey hunting!

I've got a story about that.

Stick, you should tell us the story about the time when you had to use your pepper spray. Please :D

Pepper spray is terrible.

Anyone get sprayed by it? I have and it's the worst experience of my life

Oh yeah... Well, you guys remember when I finally got my new camera? Well, I live in Queens, and work in Manhattan. I got it delivered to my office since it required a signature, and there's always someone there to sign for it. My wife and I are usually not home this time of year because of work and school. So, it was signed for by my coworker/buddy, and safely left in my desk. I got it the next day, and took it home. Now, for some reason, Sony and the dealers ship the camera in a brown cardboard box that says "Sony VG30" on it. Great... I'm astonished that it was delivered untouched, but FedEx is usually very good about deliveries anyway so I wasn't too bent out of shape about it.

I take a subway train to a bus to get home, takes about an hour. I got off the train no problem, got on the bus. The bus ride is really short, maybe about 5-8 minutes depending on traffic. I live a pretty nice area of Queens also, the area of Flushing (yeah, flushing) that borders an area called Fresh Meadows. It's not upscale, but pretty nice. I'm 4 minutes from my school Queens College, a very good uni, and the area is primarily Jewish.

I got off my bus, have my headphones, and I'm walking down the street that turns the corner to my building. Out of nowhere (of course) some kid came running up behind me and grabbed my camera box that I was carrying under my arm. Startled, I grabbed his shirt sleeve, and he struggles to get away. He starts hitting my arm, and I reach into my back pocket and pull out my pepper spray. I spray him the face pretty good, I let a lot of it go. Unfortunately, there was wind, and some of the spray kicked back into my face. Not a lot, but it still got me. The kid dropped the box, and fell over screaming. He started to get up and tried to run, and I saw my box on the ground and fumbled to pick it up. I kind of lost track of the kid by the time I managed to pick up the box, but I couldn't see him anymore. I turned the corner and got to my building, and got home.

Spent about half an hour washing my face off in the sink, it was pretty nasty. I can't imagine how the kid felt if a little spray felt like that. The camera was fine, box was unharmed, and apart from some swelling, my eyes were ok.

So, there ya go.

Wow man glad your ok. Kid got what he deserved. That sucks you had some get on you though, I've heard that stuff is nasty. Bear spray is supposed to be worse! If somone did that to me I'm not sure what I'd do. I carry a gun everywhere but pepper spray would have been a better choice in this scenario. Good call.

Stick is to drum as face is to spray!

Glad you put the beat down on the little turd! I would have just incapacitated him, I don't think I could ever live in a large city, I get pissed by "potatos" very quickly :D ! My Wife doesn't like to take me anywhere unless I promise to behave. :grumpy:

On a side note, I love how i don't even recognise half of the posters in the GAW thread! It just makes me laugh after Morrow said "reasonable presence" in the subforum!

Check this vid out, even if you dont like rugby. Some good plays in there.

Pretty cool. I used to play a bit, but seems like in this area interest peaks once every couple years and then fizzles out. Not many around here that can actually play without a lot of instruction beforehand.
