Don't you need a paid email to get on USN?

You can use the email that your Internet service provider gave you when you got your internet. I don't know the password to mine (It's my dads) so I can't get on USN unfortunately until I figure out the password.

Got a pic request for a high-dollar item. ;) Anyone have a Needs Work they can put with a Leek or Cryo? I'm thinking the Needs Work would be a great box cutter at work, but all the local places I went to check them out don't carry them. Also, is the 13cr or 420HC a better steel in those? I like the 13cr the Cryo uses and don't have any experience with 420HC from Kershaw.

Thanks, you guys are awesome! Oh, and while looking for the Kershaw, a Buck Vantage Pro followed me home. Pretty nice blade for the money. Actually a lot better than I expected.

I beliave you're thinking of 8cr13mov not 3cr. I'd say edge retention on the 8cr is a step above 420hc but not by too much. I think 420hc is a bit more corrosion resistant though. The Needs Work is okay but the handle is kind of a deal breaker for me. It's really chunky and the pocket clip kind of blows. It's a well made knife no doubt but not very well executed IMHO.

Got the Luminox today. It's a lot smaller than the G-shock I was wearing before and a lot more comfortable.

Yeah, 8cr...failed to confirm and just typed. :)

Thanks for the eval. The handle is what has me second guessing it. It's not a huge chunk to spend to find out, but why spend it in the first place if I won't use it? :)

Unless someone else gets one to you before, I can take a quick side-by-side of the three when I get home tonight. If you mean the 8Cr13MoV steel, that is pretty decent. Takes a good edge and has comparable retention to AUS-8. Noticeably better edge retention than 420HC, although it seemed like I could get a more consistent edge on 420HC. My only experience with 420HC from Kershaw is on a Chive and Blur. It seems to be as good as on my Bucks featuring 420HC (which are generally highly regarded in their treatment of it). The Leek and Needs Work standard models use 14C28N, which I like better than 8Cr13MoV or AUS-8 (and I prefer either of those to 420HC).

I love baseball, but it has a major downside to it........it takes away my BladeForums and YouTube time. :grumpy:

WOOT WOOT I received a tracking number for my cbcf!!!!!!!!

Also scored a sweet old HSB Cattle knife in the exchange.

Iceman I actually do not recommend buying any striders. They will make you not appreciate your ZTs as much.

Got my hands on my cbcf today... Love. Also bought just about everything for the puppy

What g shock is that? I've been meaning to pick one up. They're like the ZT of the watch realm :p

That's a DW-9052-1v. It was my first good watch when I got it may of last year and I've been wearing from then until today. No complaints whatsoever. I never have to worry about it when I'm doing hard work and have all sorts of stuff rubbing on it and hitting it because I know it can take it. It's a brute. This particular model isn't very expensive at all. I think I paid about 80 bucks for it but you can get them for around 45-50 if you look around some. G-Shocks are fantastic and I doubt you'll regret getting one.

Nice looking watch Will. Always like the Luminox. I've got my eye on another automatic, probably the Seiko Monster

Thanks Tyler. Luminox have always attracted me more than other watches. I'm in love with this one so far. The tritium hands and hour markers are really cool, too.

Seikos are beastly and will probably be my next watch. The black Monster with the orange dial is a thing of beauty
