Im working on refining my first knife design right now. Im getting pretty pumped that im actually putting this whole knifemaking thing into action. Ordering my grinder soon.

Rocksteads are ugly IMHO and overpriced.

How dare you, a Japanese man spent two days just establishing the bevel, hours on end tirelessly sharpening one knife...

My thoughts exactly on the Rockstead. I saw J.Skeltons vid on his and i could only think :barf: :barf:
I’ll never understand why anyone would want to inlay rayskin into an aluminum handle?



Maybe if you guys arent too hard on me i’ll post a picture of the knife i want to make first... it looks like a generic fixed blade, but i have to start off easy.
 
i just spent only 30 mins breaking in my used but like new lahar - wow! i came with my zero tolerance 0560cbcf as a deal. wow!

my GF 33 years ago, gave me a classic kai japan sheath knife, as we called them, then i got the match folder few years later. That knife was honed on fine for hours, it has fully dress over dozen deer, completely feild butchered 4, never been sharped since. Sat for years, like 8 in garage and humdid and freeze, in it sheath, that grew mold but the blade is still clean never sharpened sinnce 22 years ago.

i am certified kershaw junkie, while i do.have carried the same buck sandman for 3 years and have back up i still own more kewshaw knives then any other- i got a lot knives believe me - ask the wife!

Morning everybody. 9 hrs to go till my first 2 days off in a row in over a month. Lucky for me the wife has both days filled up so I don't have to worry about finding something to do.

Still gonna throw poop at the monkeys tomorrow. Gotta enjoy the little things.

im gunna call him today to see if he still has it. I just sold my extra CBCF (waiting for the money order though) and i have a couple extra bucks... im gunna see if he’ll work with me on the price a tiny bit.
but it is a one off custom...so i dont know.
