Bet you're excited. I'm going to be there Sunday and was going to bring my 0550 by. Do you know where he signs it? Is it on the grind or on the flat area near the spine? Also, is it smoothed or have rough edges? Sorry for all of the questions. I carry this knife daily and didn't want rough edges, especially on the grind.
it's on the grind. You could probably ask him to do it on the spine.

Sweet, I got to meet gavko, Sam, tuffthumbz, Thomas W, jimmer, stickdrum, greenie, Greg Medford, Grant Hawk, and Dave (yes, the Dave, as in kershawguy) so yeah:cool: I also picked up a full sized griptillan, 0170, and some keychain tools! I am mesmerized by the 454 as well but unless it is gonna be a year or two I don't see it as a financial possibility I have to cut back the spending, in a couple months hopefully I will get a little bonus for some extra work. Part of that can get the 0560blk, after that I need to be done for months.... For real... I hope.... Maybe :(

Totally worth it greenie that is what I use, it will take a small learning curve but u'll love it

A tip: make sure you create a full bur on one side, then the other before you start sharpening with alternating strokes. If you do that you will be getting hair splitting edges before you know it. I also tended to clamp blades too close to the scales at first which created an uneven bevel that was larger near the tip, prolly 30 knives or so done on it now and I still have a ton to learn but am loving it. I also put a small piece of cloth around the spine of the blade where it clamps, if it works loose then it won't scratch the blade.

thats what i understand, cant wait to get it home and use the crap outta it. Going to be a week tho, as they didnt have the 800/1000 stone there with them. going to be mailed

Yah I really want the micro fine ceramics as well as strops going lower than the 3.5 micron I have... But again, funds

I kinda wish i would have just gotten a wicked edge instead of the Edge pro... I havent had a chance to learn the ways of the edge pro yet, but it seems its harder to get consistent angles when the blade isnt flat.
