Well guys took ownership of my wicked edge that greeenie so kindly picked up for me! Can't wait to get it mounted and sharpen something

It's it just me, or does anyone else want to work at Kai? I'd like to do the assembly line work.
Hopefully they'll have job openings on however many years :p

Working at KAI would be a dream. I'd want to do something like QC.

Last day of school, and first day of sriver's training!

That's very generous! Would be very cool to win that CF Cryo scale

It wasn't just any hair, it was one of "those" hairs.

greeenie, I love how straightforward you are lol.

Ok...I take it back.

A word to the wise, don't run off the tips when you're sharpening. You may or may not have seen the technique that Clay uses or that others use on the WE, and it's a little deceiving. When I first started sharpening the way I've seen it done, I had rounded off tips from the stone trailing off the edge.

Take the time and stop at the tip, with the tip of the knife still on the face of the stone. Personally, I've moved to more of a scrubbing motion all the way up through the grits, and only do the forward up-and-off motion with the strops. It fixed the issue I was having with rounded tips.

hmm, i havent had that issue yet. I use the down and out motion only, one fluid motion from choil to tip. no pressure

Any sharpening system rounds the tips if you run off the edge it is just better to stop on the stone as stick stated. I use the scrubbing motion to get my burs after that I use strokes going from choil to tip in an upward motion, I just always use that motion on strokes so I don't make a mistake with my strops and go the wrong way slicing them

For you sports fans, my wife just met Eddie George at the airport on her way to San Diego.
