Its worth going to get a degree, even if its just a associates. See if you like the school. I went for business and what I learned I use fairly often. At the very least, it can advance your thinking. Well for me it did, but I had plenty of room to improve. :D

Cold Steel is the poopoo. Not a fan...

Also, I'm really upset that most of "All Hope Is Gone" is just not very good. What a waste...

In other news, the wife is out at some faculty dinner...and I just got a delivery of flashlights! Toys to play with while working on videos!

I am now a massive fan of Dan Keffeler... he makes some insane blades.... observe!

how can you not be amazed at this?

I got a Cold Steel American Lawman last month when I flew to Indiana. I've never been a fan of Cold Steel, but I've heard good things about the Demko back-lock.

Midwest Gun Supply in South Bend is awesome, too bad I'm from California. They couldn't sell me any firearms. So I had to buy a knife, instead (already had most of the ZTs and Kershaws they had on display). The American Lawman is actually a decent knife, probably a bit overpriced, but oh well, I didn't want to lose any of my knives to TSA on the flight out and needed something sharp in my pocket.

How's edge holding? Close to Kershaw's sandvick? I'm kinda interested in the code 4 and the small recon.(3"version I think)

Putting any bias aside, the knives cold steel makes aren't as bad like people seem to think. Before i started tinkering around with my recon 1 tanto, that thing was solid.. I beat the living crap out of it. I even batoned it through a thick branch and it never developed play. AUS8 isnt a terrible steel.. But it is pretty soft, but thats what youcan expect from a cheaper steel.

I feel like if they were to develop a secondary line (kinda like kershaw/ZT) where they have the basic, overseas produced knives with the aus8.. And then make a higher end line where they use quality materials, they would be very popular. I would totally buy a highend production version of a Demko AD10 (the cs lawman)
