Order of KAI sign-up thread - OPEN SIGN-UP

I Think its hard to figure..they say the orange and brown skylines are limited but I've never seen a number on them...As well as the Orange and Tanto Zings...

I thought the agreed upon guideline was "If it wasn't listed in the catalog, it is limited".
 
I remember hearing it mentioned but thought it was just a suggestion. Was 0551 in the catolog? I don't recall.
 
I'm of the opinion that it has to be a case-by-case basis. Limited runs should count, since I haven't seen runs in excess of 1,000 usually. I'd say the CF Blur is a LE, since it was said to be by Kershaw anyway. Granted...I'll have three soon, likely more...but yeah, I'd say so. Any of the LE Blurs should be, since there are only really a few that are regular production. I wouldn't say dealer exclusives (like the Tiger Stripe Blur) would count, since they weren't a limited run.

The Damascus stuff, I assume, was always a limited run. Models that were just discontinued likely wouldn't count, like a regular black Zing. However Dave's black tanto I'd say is an LE. Same goes for Dave's 0550BLK. Then, even though the ZT0780 was supposed to be a production model that was discontinued, I'd say it would count as a limited piece since it had a bit of interesting history and less than 300 pieces made it out the door. That's a bit self-serving, but whatcha gunna do? :p

That's just my take, and I went on the low side with my point count. I figure, once you're in it doesn't really matter. My collection has changed dramatically since my points post anyway. I sold off my Packrat collection, and pretty much completed my Skyline collection. Also, I went from one Blur to...FIVE! :p
 
I would like to become a disciple under the "Order of KAI". I agree to the Kode of Konduct. My point count is 13.5, and my post number is 100. If available, I'd like to request #34 (football number as a kid).
