• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Order placed for Seal 2001

AO, you are going to make us poor, Mick and Duanne ought to pay you cause when ever I see pics, I go over the knife list and find one I want. :D Thanks for the pics.

I just received the Seal 01. Man.. no words can describe it. I am serious about this. Put it this way. It weights about a pound. Knife seems to come alive when held. As though it were an extention of the arm. One intimidating knife.

SideWinder,

Thanks, man. I feel like chopping down the abandoned house across the street with it. It is of the new flat grind. Looks like the tip won't fail for anything.

ps:

Some pics tonight;)

I called up and they had a few around. Can you believe that!

That's how it happened. The Strider Rep had to deal with my ignorance of Strider knives as he answered my questions. All I had to go on was a Strider article I saw that previous summer. BUT the Striderguys were extremely helpful at a time when I know they were swamped (Sep 01) with making blades.

Once I held the S-2001 it was over - any doubts were gone about my investment. Now I want another two but haven't decided on them yet.

When I joked about the "Bean Test" on an earlier post I pictured WWII and Korean vets opening cans of rations with their field blades. Especially the cold battles were they would heat up the chow on the engines - I've still seen that done with the new MRE's before they came out with the water activated heaters.

With the mass on the forward edge of the S-2001 I imagine it would destroy a can of peaches or meat but the d*mn thing would be open! I don't know where that capability would fall on the BUSHCRAPPER100 index...
