i order short clip 550. i actually like the short clip, the price was amazing. and got used to my clip on skyline. anyway, i'm out of town next week. called the vendor and they are saying i need to sign for the knife. what do i do? have the mail hold in the post office? i would hate for the knife to go back to the vendor because i can't sign for it.

Well if it's coming USPS it may not make it to you by next week.

If you think it will ask them to hold it.
 
With mail that I've had to sign for that I wasn't around for, it would go back to my Zip's post office, and they would leave a card on my door that I could pick it up at the local post office. They don't attempt to redeliver unless you call them up and ask for that. They will hold the package at the office and you could get it with your ID that shows your address and name (as well as the card).

They normally hold it at the PO for two weeks before returning it to the sender. That's all assuming this is a USPS delivery. UPS/FedEx attempt redeliveries a few times.

Yeah the Post Office will leave a Delivery Notice. And you could either bring it to the PO listed on the note and pick it up, or go to the website on the note and they will redeliver it. If neither is done in 15 days it goes back to Blade HQ
