Yes, I too agree with your thoughts, Stan. Stainless steel is just fine for me (though I like to have other steels for diversity).... I am not one who is looking to add an aged look to my knives, so patina is not something I seek or desire. Even for use, my kitchen knives and any knife I may keep on my person, I prefer the ease of care stainless offers. And though I do like traditional in these knives I collect, obviously we know that stainless did not just hit the market.... it simply got better than it's first days of pocket knife use.
