So I have been collecting for a long time, I have a lot of cheap and junk knives before I did my research and found out what a good knife is, then last year I ordered a crkt elishwetz ftws(which I consider my first good knife) and I paid about 90 for it, then in January I bought a GEC 25(first good folder) for around 80 but last night I ordered a bark river gunny hunter, in A2 steel and some of the most gorgeous amboyna burl handle I've ever seen! it is the first time I've spent over one hundred on a knife( actually paid over 2 for it), I'm very excited for its arrival, so I wanted to post it, I will put up pics when I get it!

Once you break the $200 barrier and get something of quality, it's hard to go back to a $50 one lol. Gunny is a sweet blade, thou id prefer 3v steel.

Ya I've never tried a2 or 3v so I figured I'd start with a2, still very good and less pricey😉

3v is awesome stuff...likely my favorite fixed blade steel. Holds an edge forever, sharpens pretty easy, and is fairly rust resistant compared to other carbon steels.

Oh, someday I'll probably try it but for now I'm sure I'll be plenty happy with a2😁
