Hi guys!

It has been a long and stony way! First I didn´t know what to choose. Then everything went wrong with the payment. Thanks to Greg, he was always very helpful and had a lot of patience with me and the things that went wrong.

This thread was full of understanding an help from you guys. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/923451-Which-GEC-to-choose

I just placed an order for the Serpentine Jack in Green Jigged Bone. I can´t wait til that one is arriving here in good ol' Germany.

Did I make a wise decision? It has everything I wanted for my first GEC. Clip blade as a mainblade, jigged bone handles and it´s a jackknife :)

Kind regards
Andi

No, you have made a horrible decision, now for the rest of your life you will be plagued with a high quality folder in your pocket who's main goal in life is to make you buy more of his brothers. Very foolish mistake!!!

Welcome to the club, my name is Johnny and I am a Junkie.

Well Johnny & Kevin, you´re propably right. Maybe I made a mistake. But I think it´s like your first true bavarian beer. Love it or not. I gonna take the risk of getting addictive :) :)

Man, I love sarkasm in written words :D

Kind regards
Andi

Okay, seriously you have made a good choice.
I may not have one of these knives, but I know that it is a great choice. The blade configuration is a lot like a #12 Powderhorn so I think you'll like it.

This is a knife need to look into and pull the trigger on, but I'm content right now.

ha hah hah aha ha just 3 more and i'll have 10.
just three -thats not many.yes a green one ...must have a green one.
just checked my picture out of the original thread. I've lost count. I think i have a problem.
but hey ... just two more and i'll have 10...TEN

Hey there Andi, great choice, I have a few GEC's now, but my first was a Serpetine that was gifted to me, its Stag, and its one of two of my favourite GEC'S edc's, I feel real good when I carry that knife, its such a great knife.
I must admit, I find GEC's hard to sharpen.
We await photos my friend of this new knife!

My friend...c'mon ..honestly...content?...are we ever really ever content with what we have?

Andi, I just received a #66 serpentine jack and I like it very much. It's a great size---small enough to ride well in the pocket, but stout enough to perform well. The 2-spring width fills the hand nicely, and the pen sits low enough in the frame to not dig into your hand when using the master blade.

Good choice, I'd say.

Andrew

Thank you guys!

I´m looking forward getting this one. William (willgoy) sent me also one Serpentine Jack, because he didn´t need it. That´s really a cool thing. I gonna give that one of William a special place in my collection (and an extra thread here on BF). He´s a real gentleman!!

Kind regards
Andi

Andi,
I'm glad that you finally pulled the trigger. I really hope the knife gets to Bavaria with no problem, and I'm more than sure that you will love it. As i wrote you on the other thread, the #66 was the first GEC I put my eyes on...and sooner or later I will put my hands on it too :D
And, of course, very generous of Will to send you another one, cause you will like it and one would not be enough...

Here is a photo of a knife I feel quite privileged to own...this has been through a lot with me this knife, and although I suspect I may have taken a wee bit of life out of it with my learning how tro sharpen ( as newbies tend to do ), this knife has a lot to give, and I look forward to my future with this lovely knife with me..here is my special GEC Serpentine Jack in Stag..( what it looks like now-a -days -photographed with its big GEC brother the equal ended Jack.)
