Hi all. 38 yr.old knife nut here and never had a Spyderco. Not much into serrated edges. So, I ordered me an Endura 4, FRN, White, Plain Edge. Can't wait to try out the VG10! I plan to put a 'bit of a convexed edge on it. That White handle, I just could not resist!! (Storm Trooper White!) Anyway, I love my Barkies, Cases, Queens, ..........etc. I'm hopeing I will be "more than impressed"! Thank ya'll, Matt :)

I'm planning on ordering the exact same knife, White Endura 4, as well. I already have a Delica, but I'm looking for something a bit bigger.

Nice, that's the exact same knife I just ordered yesterday, I kind of wanted a benchmade, but for the price and the classy white handles I chose this one, Not my first spyderco though, I've been EDCing a police model for like 2 years.

Welcome to the world of Spyderco, Matt. I promise you that the Endura won't be your last Spyderco.

He's right. You'll either get a Delica or Native or Sage or Tenacious (oh, yeah, don't forget those Byrds) or...

Great choice woodley:thumbup:

I keep hearing about this white endura>Have yet to see one.Why wasn't I informed?:D

Congratulations!!
The Endura is a great example of Spyderco design. I have carried one for 15+ years.
I think you will enjoy it.

Question: if I get mud or dirt on the white FRN, will it come COMPLETELY off after a washing, or is it going to leave a chocolate brown stain forever?

id guess the frn is similar in stain resistance to g10.

mud and dirt should wash off easily.

I mean since it's white and all, you know. If you have a clean, white shirt, and you get mud on it, it'll leave a chocolate brown stain forever.

I'm wondering if white FRN is like that, or if the mud/dirt/whatever will just come right off of it without any discoloration.

i dont think the frn is absorbant in that way.

sir woodley you will be very pleased with the E4! I've had my waved model for nearly two years and it has become my favorite FRN model. This is one FRN model regardless of configuration that can compete with the higher end G-10 models!

It can be a bit difficult to get dirt out of the texturing on the handles, but the FRN itself is pretty much impervious to anything. It's very good stuff, don't let anybody tell you different.

Welcome to the addiction with your Endura. I like mine for heavy utility use. It's a bit thick to be a slicer, but overall it's a good cutter around the shop and farm. In fact, my Endura is in my pocket right now.

An Endura was my first Spydie that I bought back in '94. I still have it and it is still one of my favorites, a real classic.

I got a pink one.Love it as a camping blade.

Storm Trooper White.... I hope the force is with you, you're going to need it, as so begins a life of addiction. I started with an Endura, have several now, still one of my favourite Spydercos. Enjoy! PS, a single Endura gets lonely, he will need another Spyderco for company. You have much to learn you have, but i sense the force in this one... :)
