I can't wait to get it. I have been carrying my Manix a lot lately -- I am hoping for same solid, grippy feel ... just miniaturized...

the caly's all versions are some of my favorite knives for edc.my grey caly jr is the one knife I can't do without.

Good choice. I haven't been without mine since it was purchased about 6 months ago.

It's been prefect so far.

Caly 3 is a great knife. My Caly 3 with me every day for last 8 months. Love it.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I have both a Caly 3 and an 83mm Manix. The Caly 3 isn't quite a miniaturized version of the Manix, but if you like the Manix, I'm pretty sure you'll like the Caly 3. The lockup is solid, the blade is... well, Spyderco :D The F&F is primo.

Now I am in OCD check UPS tracking hell :) I want it to get here right now. I don't really have any good stores near me so I've ordered every nice knife sight unseen based on forum reviews-- so far the forums are 4.5/5 :

fallkniven F1: home run
spyderco jigged bone kiwi: home run
fallkniven cocobolo P1: home run
SAK alox soldier: home run
Spyderco Manix: grand slam, can't say enough about it.
$ for quality/niceness one of my best purchases of anything ever,
guns etc included.
g10 leek: 2nd base hit, nice but not a total favorite
Caly 3: ????????? (but I am guessing great...)

Next on the list... spyderco millitary? dragonfly? mariner? rescue? delica? I kinda like em all.

If Fallkniven had more variety they would be competition for my dollar but Spyderco seems to be slowly taking over given the breadth, quality and function of their products.

If you want to pick up a Delica in the near future, I would recommend you get a the D4 with wave.
