Oh, and if a saw has got a 10" high max cut, but a 16" throat, it's a 16" saw. That's a plenty good size for anything a knifemaker will ever need...
Yes it's a 16 inch. Big plus, it is a contour saw. Can cut a circle with it. It runs smoother and quiter, than any i saw on YouTube. Bought it. Thank you for finding it and realizing what it is.
Yes I cut a one inch thick bar. Then a thin bar. Drew out a curved knife edge. It cut right on the curve, all the way through. No extra grinding to get the profile. Amazing machine.

I have used this one for years in fabrication and now works perfect for knife blanks. Hydraulic down feed for cutting long bar, head locks vertical for profile cuts.
