Ordering the Sebenza

Well, I will be ordering the Sebenza in the next few days (I've already been in contact with Heather over there...), but the question remains: Large Classic or Large Regular? I like the blade of the regular, and the handle of the classic (but if it were as "boxy" as the regular, minus the "grips"). Is there any difference funtionality wise? Chris did create the redesign for a reason, right? So hard to choose.
 
I like the Classic better for 2 reasons: 1) It is more aesethically pleasing to me. 2) It is easier to open. I don't have trouble opening either Sebbie by the way.

Serious now, I like the classic better. To me it just looks better.
 
I've had both and gave up my classic. I like the looks of the regular better and it's easier for me to open/close. Must be a personal thing.
 
I prefer the Classic over the regular Sebenza. I found the pointy, scalloped indent of the regular's handle uncomfortable for my index finger. I can grip the Classic very comfortably.
 
I find the regular much nicer aesthetically. I have no problems opening and closing the blade....I thumb it at an angle, never by shoving my thumb into the recess.
 
I'm a regular guy. Doesn't seem like you are going to get much of a consensus answer on this one. :rolleyes:
 
yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if sales of the classic are nearly the same as the regular.

We do have a sebenza passaround, you could check in the passaround forum. It's a regular.
 
Buy both and have the best of what Chris Reeve offers. If that can't/won't happen, oh well.

BTW, I like the Classic look (but I also have a Regular one, too).
 
I bought a small classic because I like the aesthetics of the blade better, as well as the larger cutout for the thumb. In the grand scheme of things, they're really rather close. You couldn't go wrong either way.
 
I chose to buy a small regular over the small classic because it seemed to me that the shape of the regular would be just slightly more comfortable to grip.

But the differences are so minimal that, if I were you, I would choose based on looks. You'll be happy either way, so might as well pick the one you think looks cooler.
 
I just bought a small regular. I have owned many CRK's, unique classic, small classic, regular classic, mnandi, & Umfaan. I really have no preference with the classic vs. regular, the differences are minimal.
 
I went with small classic with wood. hard to lose any way you go tho
 
That is a good choice on the large Classic!! You WILL eventually be getting a small Classic, a micarta, a graphic........
 
I'm torn between the two. I rotate between the large classic Micarta and a 2006 large LE Buckeye regular. I think both are great and it would be like choosing which of your children you love the most. I think that either is a good choice.:thumbup:
