I ordered mine on the evening of 9/11 and haven't received any tracking info yet. If you're getting it on Friday, then maybe I'll get it after the Chicago Marathon this Sunday. That'll be something to look forward to when I bonk around mile 23 (or 17, please God let me not bonk at mile 17).

This will be my second GEC of the year (if you count the Bunny Knife that fell out of my mailbox in January). The photos look amazing and I can't wait to drop it in my pocket.
 
Have a question please!! I paid on a credit system that I found out will not work till Friday. I had a spot, intend to keep this knife (first GEC) and do not expect sending till I pay. Even got the extra 200 tag.

Can I still get the knife? My PP normally does me some credit till payday but I spent an extra $65 on rent :(

Thanks for the info. I waited several days to order mine so I'm expecting a number in the 400's. Not worried about the shipping time, just was curious if early orders were getting lower numbers. It will be interesting to see who gets #600.

Afraid I'm not too keen on carbon blades and patina, my unfortunate luck, otherwise I'd've had one in the blink o' an eye.

HYPE HYPE HYPE!

I was supposed to run the Twin Cities Marathon this past Sunday but it was black flagged and cancelled because of the heat index. To my eternal regret I didn't Uber to the start line and bandit the race with the rest of the crowd (a not-insignificant number of people went out and ran the marathon or the ten-miler anyway).

Went home, drowned my sorrows, and signed up for Grandma's Marathon 2024.

Good luck in Chicago!

Goooooooooooood lordy these are beautiful! F&F is spot on, W&T is perfect in my opinion (crisp and snappy and like a 7ish pull), no blade rub, and the jigging and color are gorgeous. It's hard to really photograph the color as it's like a medium/dark walnut in certain light but in other light a lot more oranges and reds pop out.

Thanks to everyone involved for making this happen. I can already tell this one is going to see a lot of pocket and whittling time.

No way! That heat would have been crazy to run in, but you must have been gutted when it was canceled at the last minute. I can't believe there was a bandit run!

Have you thought about some of the smaller marathons this month (e.g. Whistle Stop, or Mankato)? I think they're taking Twin Cities runners. On the other hand, I've only heard good things about Grandma's. Enjoy your training!
