Oregon?? Should I move there?

Hi Gene,

Come on up. We can always use more knife fanatics here.

I visited Oregon about 10 years ago for a month. I actually liked it better than Colorado (where I was living at the time).

Another bonus, you don't have to pump your own gas! I remember filling up my rental car and a nice gentleman came up to me saying "sir, I'll get that for you". I told him, no worries, I don't mind a bit. And he insisted that he do it. After a few seconds of him telling me he had to, I found out.

My suggestion is to go there and check it out. Stay a few weeks if you can.

Coastal OR is nice if you can stand the dampness. As someone pointed out, eastern OR is totally different. My favorite place is Bend. The climate is mild. It's high desert, but it has trees and mountains.

Portland is pretty much like any other big city. Lots of traffic and liberal BS.
Inland cities like Salem and Medford get blazing hot in the summer. Hotter then where I live in AZ.
