Just finished this Oregonto kwaiken and it is now up for grabs. I used CPM20cv for the steel on this guy. CPM20cv is a high end, powder steel with excellent corrosion resistance, edge retention and wear resistance. I do my own heat treat for optimal performance of the steel and intended use. This includes Hardening in an electronically controlled kiln and Liquid nitrogen Cryo.

The Hartsfield style sheath is kevlar lined and wrapped in some really nice Horween bison hide. It is a great carry system for this style blade. Extremely comfortable.

I take these to a near zero grind and put a micro bevel on the backside. This makes for a scary sharp edge that is easy to maintain.

Here are the specs.

OAL - 8 1/8""
Blade - 4" tip to wrap Chisel ground. Scary sharp
Steel - .200" CPM20cv at 61rc Optimized heat treat done in house which includes Hardening in an electronically controlled kiln and Liquid nitrogen Cryo.
Handle - Epoxy soaked Tsuka Ito with red hemp underwrap. Rock solid and very durable.
Sheath - Hartsfield style. Kevlar lined, Bison wrapped
Price - SOLD $450 + $15 Priority shipping in the US
Paypal or postal money order preferred

I have one more of these in the works that is double ground.

That's beautiful! I hope I can afford some of your work someday. I'm sure it's worth it! Just not on my college budget...

I love mine, I highly recommend these. Already saving the shekels for a 5" Kraiken double-ground in 20CV.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
