I wasn't trying to follow any particular design when I made this knife, it just took on a life of it's own (or was it the voices in my head?) It does have an Asian look to it.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind
Hand sanded to 600 grit
Differentially heat treated using a clay heat choke along the spine.
A quick etch in ferric chloride to bring out the quench line.
Blackwood handle
Overall length: 14 5/8 inches
Blade: 9 7/8 inches
Hand sewn leather scabbard

$190 Delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknive@yahoo.com I will also take USPS money orders or a check with time to clear. Please contact me for overseas shipping rates.

Wow ! What a superb knife; the blade and handle proportions and shapes have come together with a unity and pleasing 'flow', all enhanced by the choice of brass guard and Blackwood scales.
Gerry, The 'voice in your head' is your Artist talking to you. Besides being a skilled bladesmith & knifemaker, you have a strong sense of artistry which makes your knives so instantly appealing.
The only knife of yours i wouldn't love to own, would be the one in which you ingnored your 'voice' or inner artist.
I'm terribly tempted to buy this one, but i just cannot think what i need a long blade for, so as to justify buying what would be my 5th Custom this week.
Congratulations on this knife.

VERY nicely done! Do you think you might do more along this line in differing lengths?

I might try this design again but nothing longer, my heat treating furnace only takes up to 15 inches in length.

That is one nice blade, sorry I missed it. I will definitely keep my eyes open for another. Great work!
