I bought this Tanto in the late 80's. As you will notice from the pics at my link, It has the original brass guard and Pommel. The newer versions have SS furniture. Back then, They even called the handles Pachmeyer, Instead of Kraton. Anyhow, I carried this knife camping and for many years, It was my main big blade. As the pics show, It's a user.Any of the scratches would be fairly easy to get rid of with some 600 grit sandpaper. The San Mai Stainless holds an excellent edge and has a visible lamination line near the edge. It's still as tight as it was when new, and other than the tarnish on the brass, and scratches on the blade, There is some light wear on the "Pachmeyer handles".I bought a Kydex Shoulder Harness rig for it that hasn't been used very much and looks fairly new and it enables the knife to be carried securely in the inverted position, and it still has the original leather belt sheath ,That has a good bit a wear on it, But is still very secure, and has alot of life left in it. I am currently likeing the Bark river forrester, and some of the Fallknivens.Maybe a stout folder as well. Just let me know what you might have for offer. I might have a little cash in my paypal account to add for the right trade.--Thanks for looking--- http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/commu...id=9865&folderid=244549&folderview=thumbs&ck=
