BOTH KNIVES ARE SOLD--
THANKS TO ALL

I have two pristine .25” thick Combat Grade NMFBM’s with Steelnut kydex sheaths, new, unused, uncarried, with original razor factory edges. Kydex is set up to accept a large tek-lok (tek-lok not included). Both knives have hand-smoothed black canvas micarta grips on tanker gray blades, and as far as I can tell they are identical twins. I was the original purchaser of both.

I’m offering ONE knife and sheath for sale at this time, your choice from the accompanying photos.
BOTH KNIVES ARE SOLD $725 postal money order includes insured shipping by Priority Mail ($747 Paypal). USA sales only. No trades, thanks.

A little history on this legendary blade, for those who may not be aware…

On August 18, 2008, Jerry first offered the Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mistress (NMFBM) for sale on the Busse website. Blades are 11.25” long from scale to point, convex ground with V edge, the Combat Grade @ .25” thick and Limited Editions were .275” thick. Since that day, many iterations of the NMFBM have been offered in ganzaa’s and at shows, but to my knowledge all have been at the LE thickness or greater, with a very few as thin as .26”. I know of no other releases of the NMFBM at the original Combat Grade thickness of .25”, although obviously I can’t know for sure if some may have been made as Custom Shop pieces or the like.

For most Busse releases, this would not have been an issue as combat grades are typically bought in much greater volume than LE’s or show models, which means there are plenty to go around. But in the unique case of the NMFBM, the Combat Grade was removed from sale on August 31, just two weeks after the initial offering. Which means no orders were accepted for .25” thickness NMFBMs after that initial two-week offering.

As these knives proved to be the most effective choppers for their size of anything Busse had ever produced, very few became safe queens. Instead, they were loved well and loved hard—very hard. :D

So in the case of the CG NMFBM, a pristine example of one of the greatest blades ever produced is a very rare find, and becoming rarer with each passing year. Which is why you see so few new-condition examples of this knife for sale on the secondary market.

Now you know. :)

Thanks--PM'd you, md02geist.

Can anyone tell me if both knives are showing up now, and if not, are there five thumbnail photos showing in the row below the original post, or only three?

Both knives are sold pending funds, per PM confirmations I've sent to the buyers.

ARMYOf1, per our PM's you are in backup position if either sale falls through.

Thanks to all,
Will
